Policy Research. Academic Partnerships and Engagement. Investing in Future Generations.

The US-Bangladesh NextGen Fellowship represents a landmark initiative to provide professional development, mentoring, and life-changing experiences to young and aspiring Bangladesh experts and advocates

The U.S.–Bangladesh NextGen Policy Fellowship (USBNPF) is dedicated to empowering college students from underrepresented communities to pursue careers in international development and foreign affairs.

While our priority is to support Bangladeshi-American students—who remain significantly underrepresented in these fields—we also welcome other students who share a strong interest in Bangladesh, South Asia, and global policy.

Our mission is to nurture the next generation of global leaders by providing hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to pressing international issues. Fellows gain the professional skills, networks, and confidence they need to see themselves as future leaders shaping U.S. engagement with the world.
